Our School and Hubei Survey Organization of NBS Sign Cooperation Agreement

On April 22, our school held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony with the Hubei Survey Organization of the National Bureau of Statistics (hereinafter referred to as "Hubei Survey Organization"). Li Ziyuan, Vice President of Wuhan University, and Zhang Jieye, Party Secretary and Chief of Hubei Survey Organization, attended the event and delivered speeches. Fan Huijun, Dean of our school, and Zhang Xiaoqing, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Chief of Hubei Survey Organization, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The signing ceremony was presided over by Li Qin, Party Secretary of our school.

On behalf of Wuhan University, Li Ziyuan expressed gratitude to Hubei Survey Organization for its support in the development of the university's statistics discipline. He pointed out that the signing of this cooperation agreement represents an important opportunity for both sides, based on the principle of "complementary advantages and resource sharing," to promote the deep integration of "academic theory" and "practical innovation." Relying on the cooperation base, the two parties will establish regular communication mechanisms, share statistical research data, industry cases, and academic resources, aiming to transform "laboratory achievements" from the university into practical solutions serving society more rapidly.

Zhang Jieye stated that Hubei Survey Organization and Wuhan University have conducted multiple exchanges and collaborations in recent years, providing theoretical support and intellectual contributions for national economic construction and social development, and contributing to Hubei's accelerated efforts to become a "pivot." The signing of this cooperation agreement will create a new landscape for the integrated development of "government, academia, research, and application." First, forging ahead with innovation to pool wisdom and strength for Hubei's high-quality development. The two sides will deepen cooperation in areas such as statistical talent cultivation, research project tackling, and data development and application, jointly exploring new paths for cultivating high-level statistical talents and enhancing the depth of analytical research. Second, focusing on practical results to achieve continuous breakthroughs in "government, academia, research, and application." They will collaboratively conduct surveys and training, participate in each other's frontier lectures, and Hubei Survey Organization will engage in Wuhan University's teaching guidance and student cultivation, achieving high-quality co-cultivation, co-construction, and sharing. Third, advancing together to build a highland for collaborative innovation in government-university cooperation. Based on project-based cooperation, concrete measures, and regular interactions, they will continuously promote data integration and sharing, highlight application service orientation, and expand deeper and broader collaborative cooperation.
